At this time, this Dual Layer Co-Extrusion Crosshead is available in one size; up to ½” core and 1” die inside diameter. It is currently available in 420 stainless steel and Hastelloy.

As with all B&H crossheads, this Dual Layer Co-Extrusion Crosshead offers low material volume, which results in balanced laminar flow for better dimensional stability. The crosshead is suitable for both low and high temperature applications. Additionally, the axial and radial tip adjusts while extruding to offer operator many configurations. All in all, the B&H simple design, low number of parts and positive leak free sealing means less scrap, easy set up and long equipment life. And best of all, it’s affordable!

Preliminary trials of the Dual Layer Co-Extrusion crosshead achieved outstanding results. Medical grade tubing trials were conducted at a medical device manufacturer. Materials used consisted of Hytrel 63 Durometers and Hytrel 72 Durometers. Finished outside diameters ranged from .027 - .110 inches. Inner and outer wall thicknesses ranged from .001 - .006 inches with total wall thickness variation not exceeding..0015 inches.
